Privacy Policy

Last updated

This policy explains what PAVYY LLC does with personal information, both the information you give us directly and the customer data we handle on behalf of the shops we work with.

It is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, ask us.

1. Two different roles

We handle personal information in two distinct capacities, and the difference decides who is responsible for what.

As a controller, we decide how information is used. This applies to people who contact us about our own services: prospective clients, shop owners who book a strategy call, and anyone who emails us.

As a processor, we act on a client instruction and do not decide how the information is used. This applies to the customer lists our clients give us so we can run reactivation campaigns. Those customers are the shop’s customers, not ours. The shop remains the controller of that data. Section 5 covers this in detail.

2. What we collect from you

If you book a strategy call or message us through this website, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Anything you choose to type into the message or notes field
  • The date and time you selected, and your timezone
  • Anything you send us through the chat widget, including your name, email address, and phone number if you provide them

3. What this website does not do

Worth stating plainly, because most sites cannot say it.

pavyy.com sets no cookies of its own. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no cross-site tracking. We do not build a profile of you from your visit, and we cannot follow you to other websites.

Our typefaces are compiled into the site when it is built and served from our own domain, so simply loading a page does not send a request to a font provider or anyone else.

The one exception is the chat widget on our contact page, covered in the next section.

4. The third parties we use

Three companies are involved in running this site and our business, and no others:

  • Vercel hosts the website. Like any web host, it processes standard server request logs, which include IP addresses, for security and reliability purposes.
  • GoHighLevel provides our customer relationship management system, the booking calendar we use for strategy calls, and the chat widget on our contact page. The booking calendar is hosted at links.pavyy.com, our own subdomain, and opens in a new tab rather than running inside this site. The chat widget sets cookies to keep your conversation open between page loads. Anything you type into either goes to our GoHighLevel account.
  • Payment processors handle client billing. They receive the information needed to take payment. We do not store full card numbers at any point.

5. Customer lists belonging to our clients

When a detailing, coating, or film shop engages us for reactivation, they give us a list of their own past customers so we can run campaigns to bring those customers back.

For that data we act purely as a processor, on the instruction of the shop. Specifically:

  • We use a list only to run campaigns for the client who supplied it
  • We never share one client list with another client
  • We never sell, rent, or license customer lists to anyone, in any circumstance
  • We never merge lists from different clients into a combined marketing database
  • We delete or return a list on the client request, and on termination of the engagement

6. If you received a message from a shop we work with

If you got a text or email from a detailing or coating shop and Pavyy sent it on their behalf, the shop is the sender and the controller of your information. You gave that shop your contact details when you were their customer.

To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any text message, or use the unsubscribe link in any email. Opt-outs are honoured immediately and permanently.

To have your information deleted rather than only suppressed, contact the shop directly, or email us at support@pavyy.com and we will pass the request to them and act on their instruction.

7. Text messages from Pavyy

If you give us your mobile number through our chat widget, our booking calendar, or any form on this site, we may send you text messages from PAVYY LLC about your booking and our services, including appointment reminders, follow-ups, and occasional offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

8. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and hold the strategy call you booked
  • Deliver the services a client has engaged us to provide
  • Send administrative messages about an active engagement, such as invoices and campaign reports
  • Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations

9. We do not sell personal information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We have never done so.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

10. How long we keep information

Enquiries that do not become clients are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Client customer lists are deleted or returned on request, and on termination.

11. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, or send you a copy. Email support@pavyy.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know what is collected and why, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. As stated in section 9, we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. You may use an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf.

Where a request concerns a customer list belonging to one of our clients, we will forward it to that client, as they are the controller, and act on their instruction.

12. How we protect information

Access to client data is limited to the people who need it to do the work. Systems holding personal information are protected by access controls and multi-factor authentication, and the site is served over encrypted connections throughout. No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise, but we do not collect more than we need in the first place, which is the most effective protection available.

13. Children

Our services are sold to businesses. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes affecting an active engagement will be sent to clients by email.

15. Contact

Privacy questions and requests go to support@pavyy.com, or by post to PAVYY LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
